Let's Celebrate..

With 4th of July fast approaching, I created this card.

It was hard to photograph this card because the paper is shiny.
The red part is like foil.  The papers are from the K&Company Americana Pack that I got several years ago and love the papers in it.

The stars I cut using my Cricut Explore.  Stamped the sentiment with a
CTMH stamp that I thought fit the theme well.
Added a few sequin here and there and that finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

Bathing Beauty

Hi, I am here to share a card with you that I
made using the Bathing Beauty image
from KennyK.  It is the freebie for the month of June, so
if you hurry you have a couple days left.

So here is what I created with her.
I had my Cricut Explore cut her out and then I colored using my Copic markers.
My intent was to add some polka-a-dots to her swim suit but I could not lift enough yellow off for them to show up.  I should have just left it white and add
yellow dots, oh well.
I made the background on watercolor paper using my Zig Clean Color
markers.  The dots in the "sand" are a Stampin Up stamp.
I stamped the sentiment but unfortunately I do not know whose stamp it
was, may have been Stampendous.  I added a couple
K&Company stickers and that finished it off.
I will be adding it to the Club KennyK Facebook page for their June challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Just Believe

Hi I am honored to have been able to create this card today
You can head over to the Store and pick her up for free
or for a small fee there is also a scene version.

I had a lot of fun making this card because most of you know
I love to create my own papers or backgrounds using different
mediums.
I printed my image on a piece of watercolor paper and then taped
it to a white board.  This really helps it from wrinkling or curling
from all the water.  I covered the image with masking fluid so the ink
would not get on it.
I used Distress Ink re-inkers in colors, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio.  I wet the piece of paper then dropped the ink
on it.  To make it spread more I sprayed it heavily with water then
moved it around a bit to get the look I wanted.   I let it sit
overnight to dry.
I had my Cricut Explore cut out the image then colored it and mounted
on top of the printed image.
Here is the finished card.
I stamped the sentiment using a CTMH stamp and added some
K&Company embellishments.  I stamped the "bubbles" using the Ryn Design stamps, I love them they look so real.
You can join in this fun or just check out what other have made by going
to this facebook page HERE
Thanks for stopping by I would love to hear what you think of my
card.

GeoBuilders CAS card

Hi, hope everyone is having a great time with family
today celebrating Father's Day.
Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there.

Here is a CAS card I made using the GeoBuilders stamp set
that came in my April Stamp of Approval box.
I stamped using my MISTI and Distress Inks.  I moved the paper
each time instead of moving the stamp, it made it easier but I still
have a lot of practice to do with this.  I do wish I would have stamped each
one twice to get a deeper color but it stilled turned out OK.
Hope you enjoy my card, thanks for stopping by.

Glass of Wine.....................

..................or lots of them.
Hi, I am sharing card with you today I made for my
BFF whose birthday is this week.  She LOVES her white wine
and she is a kick in the A$$ to be around.

The image is a stamp from Art Impressions that I colored with my
new Zig Clean Color pens.   I love love them.  I have gotten on a
watercolor kick lately and love the way you can watercolor with them.
Since the image is so fun I wanted to use some fun or crazy paper too.
I cut around the image using a Cottage Cutz die.  I stamped the sentiment
using a stamp from the same Art Impressions stamp set.
The flower I cut using my Cricut Explore.  I threw some sequins in
there just for fun.
Thanks for popping in, I love to read your comments and would
really be happy if you became a follower.

Crafty Girl

Hi I am super excited to share this card with you today.
First of all it is the Friday Freebie over at
Scrapper's Delights this week.  Secondly, I did some coloring
on it I have wanted to do for a while.  The different
or non-traditional hair color.
I love the way it turned out, doesn't it look awesome.
I color this Scrapper's Delights image using my Copic markers.
I love the purple and turquoise combination.  I used papers from the
CTMH paper pack Laughing Lola.
Once I colored her I cut her out using my Gina Marie die.
Head on over and check out Gina Marie's dies too, she has some great
dies and her prices are fabulous.
I added some random sequin to fancy up the card a bit.

Well, thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head on
over to Scrapper's Delights and pick up this fun image.

Who's on First......

Hi ya, hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.
Since we are in the middle of baseball season and hubby
and I love watching baseball I picked this
Rick St Dennis image Baseball Boy to color.

I colored him using my Inktense pencils and a little
Copics here and there.  I pop dotted him onto the baseball
Cuttlebug folder that I embossed on kraft paper
and then colored in some of the images.  Luckily had the baseball
paper in my stash.
For the saying, I went with the old Abbott & Costello comedy
routine from the 1930s.
I used Design  Space and my Cricut Explore to write the
saying and then cut the label.
This little guy reminded me of the old time baseball players
so that's the first thing that came to mind.

Don't forget to check out the CraftingCircle blog as they are
spotlighting artists all month long, plus there is a Crafty Awesomeness challenge.  Rick St Dennis was spotlighted on June 1st so yu can read about him.
Rick St Dennis also has an Etsy store that has
some darker type images on it.

Will be entered in the following challenges.
Creative Corners - Just for men
Stamping with Dragon - One for the guys
PDE Linky Party - Anything goes

An Apple for the Teacher

Yeah it is June 1st and that means this will be a fun month
over at the CraftingCircle blog there will be
a month long Crafty Awesomeness Challenge.

One of the Spotlight artists is Rick St. Dennis.  That is a
link to his Zibbet store and he also has an Etsy shop
that leans more towards the "darker" side if that is your style.
I was lucky enough to get to color up one of his images from his
Zibbet store and
showcase it here on my blog.
SO here is my schoolboy card.
Isn't he cute!  Gotta love those teeth.
I colored him using my Copic markers.  I used my deckle edge
Spellbinder to cut around him, then I  stamped a saying using one of my Rubbernecker stamps.  I thought this would be the perfect card to
give a teach at the end of a school year.
I didn't have any "school" type papers so I went to my go to on-line
digital paper place.  Tac-tile Studio formerly Sassy Design.
She had the perfect school themed pack.
This is the set I used.  Educated Pack.

I had set up this cut file a while back in Cricut Design Space so
I just used the pattern fill feature to fill the pieces with the pattern
paper then print and cut them.  Easy peasy!
I used My Little Paper World corner dies for the black
star corner.
So let me know what you think of my card and be sure and stop
by Rick St Denis Zibbet and Etsy stores and all the
other links I have posted.

Also, make sure you check out the
